A proverb.
Greek Original:
*tw=n ga\r u(sta/twn xwri/s: paroimi/a.
Note:
Comica adespota fr. 725 Kock (now 543 K.-A.) -- but given there in the form found in Photius' Lexicon (tau597 Theodoridis), taken to come from Aelius Dionysius (tau34) i.e. with the final word as the noun xa/ris "grace, gratitude" instead of the Suda's preposition xwri/s "apart from, without." Either way, its import is obscure.
Keywords: comedy; daily life; dialects, grammar, and etymology; ethics; proverbs
