Note:
This episode is the one recorded by Herodotus 6.136 (web address 1), where (in 489 BCE) Xanthippos -- father of Perikles (pi 1180) -- impeached his political enemy Miltiades (mu 1067), an invalid since his siege of Paros. (The fine was in fact 50 talents.) See also Ephorus FGrH 70 F64; Plutarch, Kimon 4; Nepos, Miltiades 7.5. This Suda version of it was attributed by Cobet to Aelian; Adler suggests Aristodemus (FGrH 104).
