Headword: *tropoforei=n
Adler number: tau,1057
Translated headword: to bear [someone's] ways
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
Also [sc. attested is] tropou=mai; [used] with an accusative.
Greek Original:
*tropoforei=n. kai\ *tropou=mai: ai)tiatikh=|.
Notes:
This present infinitive is also (also unglossed) in Photius (tau504 Theodoridis); and cf. omicron 986 = sigma 713.
[1] LSJ lists two tropo/w verbs, one meaning 'I put to flight' (related to the noun tro/pos) and the other 'I put the thong on an oar' (related to the noun tropo/s). Both of them can be used in the middle voice with an accusative; it is not clear which the Suda means.
