[2] Quotation attributed by Adler to Nicolaus of Damascus; the ultimate source seems to be Ctesias (see Favuzzi [cited under alpha 2798] 43). For Tithonos see tau 578. His son (by Eos) was Memnon [Author, Myth], killed by Achilles; and, according to Strabo 15.3.2, Susa was founded by Tithonos.
