Relationship [sxe/sis] is said of relative [pro/s ti] things; for example, father with respect to son, friend with respect to friend. For these things hold [each other] and are held by each other; this is why [they] are also called 'relationships'.[2] The things said by comparison are also with respect to something, such as 'small', 'greater', 'double', 'knowledge', 'perception'.[3] And the Theologian [says]: "so that only the relationships are left, deprived of things".[4] For we abandon our mother and are abandoned by her. So [we humans] are divided into children and parents. But the divine [is] indivisible.
