Stephanus of Byzantium: "Sebaste, a city of Armenia, the one now called Sebasteia". He goes on to mention this ethnikon.
There were in fact several cities, in various parts of Asia Minor, called Sebaste (or Sebasteia or Sebastopolis), the Sebast- part of the name usually commemorating the Roman emperor Augustus (Sebastos in Greek); cf. sigma 179.
