Notes:
Likewise in the Synagoge (sigma258) and Photius' Lexicon (sigma634 Theodoridis); and see generally LSJ s.v. strouqo/s A.IV.
The entry is out of alphabetical order here; it should be adjacent to, or part of, sigma 1215. Adler reports that the mss have varied spellings of the headword: stou=rqos in A, strou=rqos in GFVM. (Photius [above] has strouqo/s with oxytone accentuation.) The editio princeps of Demetrius Chalcocondyles accepted strou=qos.
Hesychius sigma2032 has a different gloss, reflected in the headword translation here.
Keywords: definition; ethics; gender and sexuality; medicine
