[1] A garbling (dative δυνάμει should be accusative, dependent on the omitted phrase 'not having') of Demosthenes 23.171, on Chabrias (chi 1). The correct version is translated here.
[2] Quotation not identified by Adler but identifiable via the TLG as coming from Gregory of Nazianzus' Funeral Oration for Basil of Caesarea (43.26.4).
[3] Adler notes Gaisford's identification of this phrase as coming from 'John of Damascus, Canones 1.116' (= Analecta Hymnica Graeca, Canones Decembris, day 17 canon 27 ode 9.1).
