Adler number: pi,2839
Translated headword: let them be brought forth; they would be brought forth
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
Meaning let them be put forward/they would be put forward.
Greek Original:
*prosfe/rwntai: a)nti\ tou= prosteqw=si.
Note:
= Synagoge pi711; cf. Photius pi1376 Theodoridis. The headword is third person plural, present middle, of prosfe/rw (pi 2840); but the transmission varies between subjunctive prosfe/rwntai (printed by Adler, from mss AV) and indicative prosfe/rontai in mss GFM, and Photius. Naber's Photius edition emended to the subjunctive; Theodoridis prints the indicative (which comes, he suggests, from Thucydides 5.111.4) but does not explain how the gloss fits it.
