Headword: Προσπελάζει
Adler number: pi,2784
Translated headword: comes close, approaches
Vetting Status: high
[Meaning he/she/it] comes near.
Greek Original:
Προσπελάζει: προσεγγίζει.
Same entry in other lexica; references at Photius pi1355, where Theodoridis lends his support to Naber's suggestion that the headword -- present indicative active, third person singular, of προσπελάζω -- has been generated by the corresponding subjunctive προσπελάζῃ in Plato, Symposium 206D. (See also Xenophon, Cynegeticus 6.20.) There are, however, plenty of instances of προσπελάζει itself.
For the gloss see already pi 2747.
