Where the gloss differs from the present one, extra information can be gleaned: Hesychius calls it a synodos ("gathering"), and a scholion to Sophocles, Electra 635, where the phrase qu/maq' ... pa/gkarp' occurs, says that that adjective ("all-fruit") is appropriate 'because they used to sacrifice panospria to the gods'.
