Headword: Οἰκοπορεῖα
Adler number: omicroniota,75
Translated headword: household-items
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
[Meaning] the accoutrements throughout a house.
Greek Original:
Οἰκοπορεῖα: τὰ κατ' οἰκίαν σκεύη.
Notes:
Headword and gloss reappear, together, in Eustathius' Commentary on the Odyssey (on the phrase εἰς οἶκον in Homer, Odyssey 1.356).
The headword is otherwise unattested in this form, οἰκοπορεῖα . Photius' Lexicon (omicron99 Theodoridis) has οἰκυπορεῖα , which if anything is worse; and the scholarly consensus is that it should actually be οἰκητήρια (as in Hesychius omicron247, which Latte regards as quoted from Alcaeus).
