Headword: Οὐδ' ὑφ' ἕνων
Adler number: omicron,830
Translated headword: not even under ones
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
Attic speakers say [this] instead of "under nones", using hyperbaton.
Greek Original:
Οὐδ' ὑφ' ἕνων: Ἀττικοὶ ἀντὶ τοῦ ὑπ' οὐδένων λέγουσιν ὑπερβιβάζοντες.
Note:
Same entry in Photius, Lexicon omicron624 Theodoridis, tentatively taken by Erbse to derive from one of the founders of Attic lexicography, Aelius Dionysius (omicron38). The headword phrase does not appear in extant authors, Attic or otherwise, in this precise form, however; Theodoridis' note can only cite approximations, in Plato (e.g. Phaedrus 246C, οὐδ' ἐξ ἑνὸς λόγου ).
