Ὅπου αἱ ἔλαφοι τὰ κέρατα ἀποβάλλουσι: τουτέστιν ἐν δυσβάτοις καὶ τραχέσι τόποις. φασὶ τὰς ἐλάφους παρατριβούσας τὰ κέρατα ἀποβάλλειν πρὸς θάμνους. ὅθεν ἐπὶ τῶν ἐργώδεις τὰς διατριβὰς ποιουμένων εἰρῆσθαι τὴν παροιμίαν.
