Notes:
cf. generally (but without explicit mention of Demeter) Hesychius omicron828. (Wentzel attributed this entry to Atticists.) The adjective is derived from ὄμπνη "cereal, nourishment," and is not related to the verb ἀναπνέω . See generally LSJ s.v., esp. sense I.2 for the epithet of Demeter, attested in Callimachus (and Nonnus).
