Headword: Ναρμαλίς
Adler number: nu,39
Translated headword: Narmalis
Vetting Status: high
A city of Pisidia, [sc. accentuated] like Kabalis.
Greek Original:
Ναρμαλίς: πόλις Πισιδίας, ὡς Κάβαλις.
From Stephanus of Byzantium s.v., citing Ephorus FGrH 70 F233.
The point about accentuation is spoiled here by the fact that the names are presented as Ναρμαλίς and Κάβαλις ; however, in Stephanus the former is Νάμαλις -- and Καβαλίς is also found, e.g. in Strabo.
This entry, like others nearby derived from Stephanus, is absent from mss AFV but is a marginal addition in ms M; cf. nu 30, nu 31, nu 32, nu 40.
