Notes:
Ths Suda's headword Nephthaleim is the Septuagint form of נפתלי, a word we are more familiar with as Naphtali.
In fact Naphtali was not a city but a tribe, then also a territory. For the tribe see Genesis 49:21 and elsewhere. For the district see Joshua 19:32-39. It was in the north-east of the Hebrew kingdom and reached to Lake Galilee.
Jesus went to Capernaum on the borders of Zebulon and Naphtali. See Matthew 4:13.
