[Meaning] recently made.
Greek Original:
Νεόκμητον: νεωστὶ κατεσκευασμένον.
Note:
Likewise or similarly in other lexica: see the references at Photius nu133 Theodoridis. The earliest of them, Hesychius nu329, has dative singular, otherwise attested only in late epic (Quintus 7.29), but if the Suda's νεόκμητον is actually quoted from somewhere the likeliest option is Euripides, Rhesus 887 (a variant reading there for νεόδμητος [cf. nu 185] with the meaning "new-slain").
Keywords: definition; dialects, grammar, and etymology; poetry; tragedy
