The headword is either masculine accusative singular or neuter nominative/accusative singular of this adjective; the former if, as it routinely assumed, it is extracted from Aristophanes, Clouds 569, where it is an epithet of Aither [alphaiota 121, alphaiota 122] in a choral lyric passage (web address 1). Latte's citation, at Hesychius s.v., of the masculine nominative singular in the Septuagint (Jeremiah 39.19) seems scarcely to the point.
