Adler number: mu,1455
Translated headword: Mursinon's, Myrsinon's
Vetting Status: high
[no gloss]
Greek Original:
This unglossed headword, in the genitive case, is very probably plucked from the Septuagint account (Judges 1:34-36, at 35) of those places, within the Promised Land, where the Amorites (alpha 1628) held out against the Israelites: "in the mountain of the Myrsinon, where the bears and the wolves [live]". Nevertheless it is not certain that in this passage (quoted by Theodoret on wolves) the present headword is upper-case.
