[Meaning] the craftsmen [sc. in Rome] concerned with currency; [the ones] who, during the reign of Aurelian, corrupted the currency, did away with their own official Felicissimus, and stirred up a civil war. Aurelian had some difficulty in handling them but managed it by excessively cruel punishments.

Μονιτάριοι: οἱ περὶ τὸ νόμισμα τεχνῖται: οἳ ἐπὶ Αὐρηλιανοῦ διέφθειραν τὸ νόμισμα καὶ τὸν ἴδιον ἄρχοντα Φηλικήσιμον ἀνελόντες ἐμφύλιον ἐγείρουσι πόλεμον: οὓς μόλις Αὐρηλιανὸς χειρωσάμενος ὑπερβαλλούσῃ κολάσεων ὠμότητι κατειργάσατο.
