The headword, an aorist passive participle in the masculine nominative singular, might appear to be, as transmitted, a rare variant of luqei/s (from lu/w); however, both Kuster and Bernhardy took it to be a (corrupt?) version of e)lusqei/s (from e)lu/w); and Bernhardy suggested liasqei/s (from lia/zw) as another alternative.
