Note:
[1] Aristophanes, Frogs 1056-7 (web address 1), with comment from the scholia there. Some editors have followed Bentley in emending Parnassos to Parnes (which is also, like Lykabettos, within Athenian territory); Dover retains Parnassos, and sees nothing odd in its being a "mountain" of a quite different order of magnitude.
