Headword: Λοπᾶσι
Adler number: lambda,676
Translated headword: dishes, plates; cloak-stealers
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
[Meaning] to/for/with thieves.
Greek Original:
Λοπᾶσι: κλέπταις.
Note:
Same entry -- of, ostensibly, two nouns in the dative plural -- elsewhere: see the references at Photius lambda397 Theodoridis. However, headword and gloss do not match: Theodoridis obelizes λοπασιν (the Suda's λοπᾶσι ) and notes the variant λωπάσι (likewise glossed as κλέπταις ) in a Lucianic scholion; Dindorf persuasively suggested this to be a corruption of λωποδύταις (cf. lambda 734).
