Λιβυκὸν θηρίον: οἷον ἐξηλλαγμένον. φασὶ γὰρ τὴν Λιβύην θηρία μὲν πολλὰ ἔχουσαν, ἄνυδρον δὲ οὖσαν, συνερχομένων δὲ παντοδαπῶν εἰς ἕνα πότον, εἶτα ἀλλήλοις ἐπιβαινόντων, ἐξηλλαγμένα καὶ σύμμικτα ἀποτελεῖν ζῷα.
