Headword: *lhma/tia
Adler number: lambda,444
Translated headword: mini-resolutions, small resolutions
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
[Meaning] purposes.
Greek Original:
*lhma/tia: ta\ bouleu/mata.
Note:
The neuter headword, here plural, is a diminutive of lh=ma "resolution" (lambda 441, lambda 443). It is defined with this single gloss in the Synagoge and Photius, Lexicon lambda263 Theodoridis; Hesychius lambda865, previously, proffered 'thoughts' (fronh/mata) as well as 'purposes' (cf. lambda 445, lambda 446). The headword with single mu is unattested outside lexicography, but lhmma/tia (diminutive of lh=mma) occurs in mathematical texts.
