Λεπτὴν πλέκει: λεγόμενόν τι ἐπὶ τῶν πενήτων. οἷον ἀκριβῆ, στενήν, ἀσθενῆ. ἔνθεν καὶ λεπτολόγος. Ἀριστοφάνης Νεφέλαις: καὶ σχάσας τὴν φροντίδα λεπτὴν κατὰ μικρὸν περιφρόνει τὰ πράγματα. τουτέστιν ἐρεύνα.
