Headword: Λέμωνος
Adler number: lambda,246
Translated headword: Lemon's (?)
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
[no gloss]
Greek Original:
Λέμωνος.
Notes:
The headword is otherwise unattested. It would appear to be the genitive case of a rare proper name, Lemon. Alternatively [CR], the origin of this entry could be an instance of Πολέμωνος where the first syllable was lost. For some individuals named Polemon see pi 1887, pi 1888, pi 1889, pi 1890; and for the genitive case see under alpha 3902, beta 121, omicron 766, etc.
Another possibility [CR] is that this is a variant spelling of λειμῶνος : cf. lambda 364.
