[1] Adler compares Romans 1.25: the ungodly and the unrighteous If that is indeed the text that lies behind the Suda's quotation, there are two significant differences: the verb governs dative, not accusative, and a statement about what the impious do has become one about what the pious do not do. Both of these elements can in fact be found in the refrain of several Byzantine hymns (οὐκ ἐλάτρευσαν τὴν κτίσιν οἱ θεόφρονες ), which are closer to the Suda's text but do not explicitly add παρὰ τὸν κτίσαντα (a gloss?).
[2] This time Adler's text for comparison makes a better fit: Hebrews 9.14, εἰς τὸ λατρεύειν θεῳ̂ ζῶντι .
