Adler number: kappa,42
Translated headword: you will bring down, you will destroy
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
[kaqairh/sete is the same as] kaqelei=te. Thucydides also [uses the word],[1] and [so do] most of the other [authors].
Greek Original:
*kaqairh/sete: kaqelei=te. kai\ *qoukudi/dhs, kai\ tw=n a)/llwn oi( plei/ous.
Notes:
Same entry (from Aelius Dionysius kappa1) in Photius, Lexicon kappa21, but the Suda omits the crucial negative which begins the gloss. Aelius is saying that the headword kaqairh/sete, not kaqelei=te, is the correct form of the second person plural, future indicative, of kaqaire/w.
