[Meaning] young man, adolescent. Or very cheap person. For a κυρσός [is] a cheap vegetable.[1] The Lakonians use the term 'whippersnappers' for youths and for cheap people.

Κυρσάνιε: νεανία, ἔφηβε. ἢ εὐτελέστατε. κυρσὸς γὰρ εὐτελὲς λάχανον. Κυρσανίους δὲ καλοῦσιν οἱ Λάκωνες τὰ μειράκια καὶ τοὺς εὐτελεῖς ἀνθρώπους.

The headword -- which is in the vocative case, as are the three glosses -- appears at Aristophanes, Lysistrata 983 (web address 1), and much of the material in the entry is found in the scholia thereto. [1] Attested as such only here and in the Lysistrata 983 scholia. LSJ has the word but glosses it as gibberosus ('hunch-backed').
