[1] The spelling Krissa is used by the Suda and Hecataeus (fragment 115b in Eustathius) but the spelling Krisa is more common. A city variously deemed in Phokis or (Epiknemidian) Lokris in the valley below Delphi (modern central Greece). The Krisaian Gulf (in the Korinthian Gulf) is named after it. Sometimes conflated with its port city of Kirra/Kirrha/Cirrha.
