Κοροπλάθοι: οἱ τοὺς κόρους πλάττοντες κηρῷ ἢ γύψῳ: τουτέστι τὰ ζῷα πάντα. οἱ κατασκευάζοντες εἴδωλα βραχέα ἐκ πηλοῦ πάντων ζῴων, οἷς ἐξαπατᾶσθαι τὰ παιδάρια εἴωθεν, οὗτος κοροπλάθος καλεῖται. Κοροπλάθους λέγουσι τοὺς ἐκ πηλοῦ τινος ἢ κηροῦ ἢ τοιαύτης τινὸς ὕλης πλάττοντας κόρας ἢ κούρους.
