[Another name for] Dio.
A proper name.

*kokkiano/s: o( *di/wn. o)/noma ku/rion.
Note:
Dio of Prusa (delta 1240), a.k.a. Dio Chrysostom, probably acquired Roman citizenship through M. Cocceius Nerva -- later the emperor Nerva -- and took his nomen in the form of the cognomen Cocceianus. At delta 1239 the Suda gives this cognomen to the historian Cassius Dio, but this seems to be Byzantine confusion -- persisting into modern times -- between the two homonyms.
