Adler number: kappa,1527
Translated headword: I garden
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
Gardens [spelled with epsilon iota, feminine] [sc. is also attested]; but 'little garden' in the neuter [sc. is spelled with an iota].

Κηπεύω: Κηπεία: Κηπίον δὲ οὐδετέρως.
Note:
Listing of related words; κηπεία, ἡ is "garden" in Plato, Laws 845D. (ps.-Zonaras construes the word as "gardening"). The diminutive κηπίον occurs e.g. in Polybius 6.17.2. Though this kind of spelling distinction is a favourite of Greek lexicographers, this is the only attested instance.
