[Meaning something] good to look at.[1]

Greek Original:
Ἰδάλιμον: εὐειδές. καὶ Ἰδάλιμος, ὁ ἱδρώς, καὶ Ἰδάλιμον, τὸ καυστικόν.
Notes:
[1] Same entry in other lexica, beginning with Hesychius iota160. Latte there regards the entry as stemming from Homer, Odyssey 24.279, which in fact has the feminine accusative plural εἰδαλίμας (epsiloniota 18) The id- version of the adjective, in the present entry and its analogues, is presumably a corruption of epsiloniota 19.
[2] cf. Hesiod, Works and Days 415, where this adjective occurs in the genitive singular (web address 1).
