Headword: Ἠγρίωσαι
Adler number: eta,74
Translated headword: you have become cruel
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
Meaning you get hard.
Sophocles [writes]: "you have become cruel and you welcome no counsellor, and if someone warns you, even speaking in goodwill, you detest [him] and consider [him] a malevolent enemy".[1]
Notes:
The headword is perfect middle-passive, second person singular, of ἀγριόω . It is presumably extracted from the Sophoclean quotation given (though also attested in Euripides, Orestes 226 and 387).
