*)/hgeira: parw/cuna.
Notes:
Headword and gloss are aorist indicative active, first person singular.
The entry is taken from the Synagoge (Lexica Segueriana eta248.20); it also occurs in Photius, Lexicon eta20 Theodoridis.
According to Naber (cited by Theodoridis), it could have an Homeric origin, because h)/geira occurs on two occasions in the Iliad (5.208, 17.222) and once in the Odyssey (2.41). Indeed, scholion D to Iliad 5.208 (web address 1) reads: h)/geira: parw/rmhsa, proe/treya 'I awakened: I urged on, I impelled'.
