Ἠλύσιον πεδίον: ἐν ᾧ οἱ παρ' Ἕλλησι δίκαιοι αὐλίζονται, μετὰ θάνατον ἐκεῖσε ἐλευσόμενοι: οἱ δὲ κολάσεων ἄξιοι ἐν τῷ Κωκυτῷ καὶ τῷ Πυριφλεγέθοντι ἀπελεύσονται. ποταμοὶ δὲ οὗτοι, ὁ μὲν Κωκυτὸς ψυχρότατος, ὁ δὲ Πυριφλεγέθων θερμότατος.
