Adler number: epsiloniota,343
Translated headword: I accompanied
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
[Meaning] I followed.
Greek Original:
Εἷψα: ἠκολούθησα.
Note:
To judge by the gloss, the headword (which must be quoted from somewhere but is otherwise unattested) is regarded as a sigmatic aorist for ἕπω , which normally has the middle form ἕπομαι with the thematic aorist ἐσπόμην ; cf. epsilon 2091, epsilon 3194, epsilon 4056, epsilon 4058, epsilon 4071. There are two other verbs ἕπω , one meaning "I busy myself with", and the other meaning "boil" (see epsilon 4072).
