Headword: Εἴ σφιν
Adler number: epsiloniota,328
Translated headword: if for them
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
[Meaning] into themselves.
Greek Original:
Εἴ σφιν: εἰς ἑαυτούς.
Note:
Problematic. It seems as though both headword phrase and gloss should begin with the same word, either εἰ (as in the headword) or εἰς (as in the gloss). Ms F, Adler reports, has εἰς in the headword; all mss have εἰς in the gloss, but Anecdota Graeca ed. Bachmann has εἰ (and also ἑαυτοῖς , dative case, which agrees with σφιν in the headword).
