[1] Polybius fr. 134 Büttner-Wobst; see again (but apparently misquoted) under omicron 641. Although he doubts whether it is genuinely Polybian, Büttner-Wobst notes (532) that 'Ursinus' [Fulvio Orsini, 1529-1600] attributed this fragment to Polybius. Assuming Ursinus to be correct, however, Casaubon (ibid.) then associated the fragment with the Iberian campaigns of Marcus Claudius Marcellus (consul 166, 155, and 152 BCE; died c. 148) during the Second Celtiberian War (the "Fiery War", cf. Polybius 35.1 (web address 1); 153-151 BCE); cf. Harris 132, alpha 2196, kappa 2254, mu 811. Casaubon further suggested (ibid.) that the otherwise unattested city of 'Ortobriga' was actually Nertobriga (in northern Spain, present-day Calatorao, 50 km. southwest of modern Zaragoza, Barrington Atlas map 24 grid D4); cf. nu 253.
