By contrast, the headword e)gh/gartos is an adjective attested only here and in Hesychius epsilon176, where Latte flags up textual corruption. (The whole entry in Hesychius is: e)gh/gartos. e)pi/xartos: e)pixarh/s). The correct reading of the present headword is probably Hesychius' e)pi/xartos ("wherein one finds joy": LSJ), which Latte identifies as extracted from the Septuagint (Proverbs 11.3).
