Headword: Ekklêteuthênai
Adler number: epsilon,474
Translated headword: to have been summoned
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
The names of those deposing testimony are announced in the court; [this is] what they used to call 'to have been summoned' and 'he might summon'.
Greek Original:
Ekklêteuthênai: tôn enkatalipontôn marturian ta onomata en tôi dikastêriôi kêrussetai: hoper elegon ekklêteuthênai kai ekklêteuoi.
Note:
The headword is aorist passive infinitive of e)kklhteu/w (cf. epsilon 473, epsilon 475). It occurs in, and is surely quoted here from, Aeschines 1.46. (But the source of 'he might summon', attested only here, is indeterminable.)
