Headword: *)eqwu/mazon
Adler number: epsilon,331
Translated headword: I was marveling, they were marveling
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
[e)qwu/mazon is used] instead of e)qau/mazon.
Greek Original:
*)eqwu/mazon: a)nti\ tou= e)qau/mazon.
Notes:
(Entry lacking, Adler reports, in mss FV, and added in the margin of M.)
The imperfect indicative headword, evidently quoted from somewhere but not otherwise attested, is an Ionic dialect variant of the (commonplace) gloss. In Herodotus, however, the stem is qwmaz-. Out of context there is no means of telling whether it is first person singular or third person plural.
