Adler number: epsilon,2648
Translated headword: they were coming together
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
[Meaning] they were gathering together. "Those who had been left in the rear were coming together."
Greek Original:
Ἐπισυνῄεσαν: συνηθροίζοντο. οἱ ἐξόπισθεν ἀπολελειμμένοι ἐπισυνῄεσαν.
Note:
Entry taken over by ps.-Zonaras. The headword is imperfect indicative, third person plural, of the rare doubly compound verb ἐπισύνειμι . It is presumably extracted from the unidentifiable quotation given (transmitted, in Adler's view, via the Excerpta Constantini Porphyrogeniti).
