Headword: *)epi/mplato
Adler number: epsilon,2480
Translated headword: was being filled
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
['He/she/it was being filled] and [sc. also attested is] 'they were being filled'.
Greek Original:
*)epi/mplato kai\ *)epi/mplanto.
Notes:
From epsilon 2513; cf. also epsilon 1247 (and under nu 46).
A marginal gloss, Adler reports, in mss IM, absent from ATFV, and placed after epsilon 2478 in G. The entry illustrates, without defining, two forms of the verb e)pimpi/mplhmi, the singular and plural (respectively) imperfect third person indicative middle/passive. (Both are presumably quoted from somewhere.) The use of this verb in a passive sense predominates, so that is how it is translated here.
