Headword: Ἐδεδίξατο
Adler number: epsilon,202
Translated headword: was frightened
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
[Meaning he/she/it] was [made] afraid.
Greek Original:
Ἐδεδίξατο: ἐφοβήθη.
Note:
Likewise in other lexica. The headword -- a rare aorist of δεδίσσομαι (delta 152), third person singular; cf. epsilon 201 -- must be quoted from somewhere. The only independent instances, two of them, are in Theodoret; he also has one instance of the corresponding third person plural (as does Polyaenus, Stratagems 1.12, on an early war between the Boeotians and the Thessalians).
