Ἐδεδίεσαν: ἐφοβήθησαν. καὶ Ἐδεδίζειν.
Notes:
[1] Pluperfect with imperfect sense, from δέδια (delta 147), with same glossing in other lexica. It must be quoted from somewhere; there are numerous possibilities; cf. in any case under rho 310.
[2] So the transmitted text, but it should be ἐδεδίειν ('I feared'), as in other lexica; and the ultimate source has been identified as Hyperides, For Lycophron 6.
Keywords: definition; dialects, grammar, and etymology; rhetoric
