Translation:
In ancient times the Athenians lived in villages, but Kekrops[1] brought them together and settled them in 12 tribes; he gave the citizen-body the name Kekropia after himself; two of the four-city units he named from the four cities [concerned], establishing a share for each; the three remaining ones he named epaktrides ['hilly'];[2] and the territory attaching to these three used to be called, homonymously, Epaktrias.

Notes:
This material -- also in other lexica -- bears some general resemblance to Strabo 9.1.20, which cites Philochorus FGrH 328 F94 on the twelve ancient poleis of Attica, but there is extra, implausible detail.
[1] For Kekrops see kappa 1271, kappa 1272.
[2] Here as elsewhere in the entry, epaktr- should be epakr-.
